2. Scope

This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Service, how it is used, which third parties are involved, and the rights you have. It applies to the Solitaire game website.

3. Information stored on your device

The game stores small amounts of data in your browser’s local storage so it can function:

your saved game in progress, so you can resume it later;
your preferences (sound on/off, chosen draw mode);
a randomly generated session identifier used by our analytics provider.

This information stays in your browser. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog (hosted in the European Union) to understand how the game is used so we can improve it. PostHog collects:

a randomly generated, non-identifying visitor identifier;
pages viewed and in-game events (for example: a game started, a hint used, a game won);
general technical information such as browser type, device type, screen size, language, and the referring website;
an approximate location (country/region) derived from your IP address.

Session recordings. PostHog also records anonymized playback of how visitors interact with the page (pointer movement, clicks, and screen changes) to help us find usability problems. We use these recordings only to improve the Service. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.

5. Advertising

The Service is supported by advertising delivered through Ezoic. Ezoic and its advertising partners (which include Google) use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to display and measure ads. Depending on your consent choices, ads may be personalized based on information such as your device, approximate location, and browsing activity. A full, up-to-date list of advertising partners is available through the consent tool described in Section 7. We do not sell your personal data.

Analytics — cookies and local storage used by PostHog (Section 4).
Advertising — cookies and identifiers set by Ezoic and its partners (Section 5).

Analytics and advertising technologies are used in accordance with your consent.

7. Your consent choices

When you first visit, a consent banner (our Consent Management Platform) lets you accept or refuse non-essential data uses, including personalized advertising and analytics. You can review or change your choices at any time by reopening the consent tool. 10. International data transfers

Our analytics data is hosted in the European Union. Some advertising partners may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Local storage on your device — kept until you clear your browser data.
Analytics data — kept for a limited period and in aggregated or limited form.
Advertising and consent data — retained by the respective third parties in line with their own policies and your consent settings.

13. Children

The game is suitable for a general audience but is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 15 (the age of digital consent in France). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version; material changes will be made clear on this page.
